![]() This exhibit focuses on the cooperation between public, private and non-profit sectors to advance the cultural development of our community. One of the main goals of this exhibit and educational opportunity is to aid in the cultivation of a friendly, receptive art- minded community The featured artists for this exhibit are career artists Brenda Heim, a self-taught artist who uses a combination of gestural calligraphic brush markings and Zen brush-painting on large canvases and Doug Hays, who creates large metal sculptures for interior and exterior spaces. This exhibit and its participants are dedicated to the examination, development, and definition of art and culture in Lake Countytoday. Its mission is to provide an accessible forum for the exchange of perspectives on the role of public art as a socially relevant medium. This mission is implemented through the exhibit and a free presentation of a public art discussion on March 21st at 5:30 in the Mount Dora Center for the Arts gallery. |
